Executive Search
Augmentum works exclusively for tier-one organisations, including a range of FTSE 100 and Fortune 500 companies, and a significant number of innovative, entrepreneurial market leaders across the globe. We are constantly evolving, complementing our existing client base through nurturing our relationships across the business spectrum: There is no qualifying factor other than the calibre of the business and the quality of its people.
We are continually adding to our faculty, growing our collective intelligence and broadening our services to our clients. However we only work with a limited number of clients in any one industry, thus ensuring the widest candidate pools and avoiding any potential conflicts of interest.
Board & Leadership
Our role in the board practice is to support chairmen and boards, when asked, across the range of requirements including board appointments, management and evaluation. Our board team comprises individuals with many years of experience in searching on behalf of global companies for senior executive and board members. It is supported by others with global experience gained in dealing directly with chairmen and boards through either equity research or corporate advisory within the City’s leading institutions.
Augmentum's specific support of chairmen is underpinned by undertaking research on key, topical, issues which may affect the structure and composition of a board. This research has included the confidential survey we recently undertook of FTSE 350 chairmen on the additional time they believed would be required of a board in dealing with the requirements of the new FRC Code. The results of the survey were sent in confidence directly to each chairman. We do not volunteer unsolicited advice.
Diversity
We hope that Augmentum’s activities in this area reflect our belief in joined up, integrated thought and action; we seek to embed inclusive principles, and proactive campaign into every area of our work:
NED Practice & Diversity: We have a market leading NED practice, which aims to diversify the NED community by championing and coaching the most talented serving executives, both male and female, into their first NED role.
Diversity Practice: We have a flourishing diversity practice and a broad network in this area; we regularly seek the views of the board, HR and talent management community and related subject matter experts so that we can better our approach accordingly, and have established relationships with the leading NFP organisations in the diversity arena.
As part of any search, we can tailor our approach to:
- offer advice and insight into talent demographics
- integrate diversity into client briefings, research methodology and search reports
- extend our search ‘scope’ beyond that of established networks, industry and sector silos (and singular levels of seniority).
- factor in information on the employer brand in relation to diversity · Gather candidate feedback on the hiring processes
- advise on internal ‘diversity best practice’ in relation to the internal talent pipeline, whether through our internal expertise or our associates.
- dedicated resource to mapping high potential talent as part of our search process or as a standalone research exercise driven by a clearly-defined need in the business.
For those clients that are interested in trying alternative assessment tools, or wish to have a more complete approach to competency based testing, we partner with organisations who have developed tools which measure intrinsic qualities, such as predisposition and personality, ensuring that those who do not express themselves in line with the hiring company’s cultural norms are still judged fairly.
Diversity partnerships: We partner with individuals and organisations who work with senior leadership teams on developing inclusive leadership styles, in order to foster inclusive cultures in which an increasingly diverse range of people can thrive - this is an objective aligned to bettering performance and not purely moral or egalitarian principles.
